Frequently Asked Booking Questions:
-
Short answer: because we'd rather not take your money before we know that we can actually help you. The consultation lets us confirm your situation is a fit for mediation. If it turns out you need something outside our scope — like a matter that requires a courtroom, an attorney, or where there's a conflict of interest on our end — you'll know right away, with no charge, no funds on hold, and no payment processing fees to refund. It protects your time and your wallet.
If you’re a Professional seeking an on-going partnership, additional services, or a mediator on call, please visit your dedicated Professionals page for more info and then book a consult.

It's a brief, confidential conversation about what's going on and what you're hoping to resolve. We'll talk through whether mediation is the right path, how the process works, and what next steps would look like. No preparation needed — just come as you are.
-
That's exactly what the consultation is for. If mediation isn't the right tool for what you're facing, we'll tell you honestly, where we can help you, or point you toward a more appropriate resource. Good mediators know when to say no. Regardless, there is no pressure, no hard feelings.
-
Yes. Mostly anything you share in the consultation stays private. Confidentiality is foundational to how mediation works — and it starts from the very first conversation.
Confidentiality does not cover: the admission of a crime, disclosures of child abuse or abuse of an elderly or vulnerable adult, or a threat of future harm to yourself or someone else. In those specific situations, a mediator may be required to disclose.
Everything outside those narrow exceptions stays protected.

Absolutely. We serve DFW in-person and virtually. We have clients across the state of Texas and nationwide virtually too. Your consultation will be over video, so location is no barrier to getting started with us.
